新人們進入第二年實習期，最初的新奇和激情被忙碌、疲勞取代，也慢慢發現被傳為“納粹”的貝利醫生嚴酷外表下是一顆極其善良的心。梅雷迪斯（艾倫·旁派 Ellen Pompeo 飾）與“夢幻先生”德裏克（帕特裏克·德姆西 Patrick Dempsey 飾）從一夜情正式發展到談戀愛，怎料“正室”艾迪森（凱特·沃什 kate walsh 飾）出現，原來德裏克目前處於和老婆分居狀態，一直被他逃避的婚姻問題再度擺上台麵，梅雷迪斯倍受煎熬；那邊廂，克裏斯蒂娜（吳珊卓 Sandra Oh 飾）與黑人醫師伯克擦出的火花持續放大，在“懷孕”和“事業”間掙紮，卻不幸遭遇流產；伊澤貝爾（凱瑟琳·海格爾 Katherine Heigl 飾）和亞裏克斯（賈斯汀·錢伯斯 Justin Chambers 飾）開始約會，發展也並不順利……
